Rick was my grandmother's landlord for many years. I'll never forget how wonderful he was, not only to her but others and myself. He always made us laugh, such a witty personality. I hope he is saying Hi to Grandma up in heaven. R.I.P. my friend

We had a marvelous time with many laughs at their place on the lake when Rick invited the scorers for a get together. Thanks for the memories!

We met Rick & John when we bought our little camp in 2012. Their camp was just down the road from us. Rick was a kind friendly soul. He loved his camp and the GSL. I quickly found out he knew my sister-in-law. I would walk down to his camp for an occasional beer. Rick always stopped in front of my camp to chat, he always had a smile on his face. I was kayaking in the bay one late afternoon. Rick and John were just taking their boat out for a ride. With their dog of course. I paddled over and we talked for a while. It wasn't the same last summer, without Rick & John staying up at camp. RIP Rick, I am glad our paths crossed.

Rick was a special friend who had many endearing traits that I will remember when tempted to be sad. He could talk up a storm, cook like a chef, fix nearly anything worth fixing, shop for bargains, love and care for his dogs, hold his ground when he had an opinion, keep his freezers loaded, collect things that didn't need collecting, proudly display pictures of his adventures, and tell tales of his many medical visits. Most of all he was proud of his home, camp, and John who was always there for him. I was lucky to have him in my life.
