Obituary of Dennis Joseph Mahony, Jr.

COEYMANS HOLLOW- Dennis Joseph Mahony, Jr., 53, of Coeymans Hollow, entered into rest on May 26, 2022. The son of Henriette (Rinfret) Mahony and the late Dennis Joseph Mahony, he was born on December 15, 1968, in Albany, New York Dennis has resided in Coeymans Hollow and Ravena for most of his life and was educated locally in public schools. He worked in construction and farming. Dennis’ passion was auto racing, especially dirt modifieds. He took pride in being part of Flach Racing and Ken Tremont, Jr. racing teams over the years at Lebanon Valley and other racetracks. His time at Accord speedway and the friends he met there meant a lot to him. Dennis did some racing himself with mini sprints and mini modifieds. He cherished his racing memorabilia. Dennis took pride in his lawn and mowed it every Sunday to keep the farm looking lovely. He had a great sense of humor and was quite a funny guy. He was kind hearted and is missed by many. In addition to his mother, Dennis is survived by his sister, Joan Mahony. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A service will be held at his home and will be announced at a later date in the summer. A moment of silence in his honor will be held at Accord Speedway the weekend of July 1st.
