Obituary of Valerie Kulzer

SCHENECTADY - Valerie Dale Kulzer, 63, of Schenectady, New York unexpectedly passed away on March 18th, 2023 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Valerie was born on February 19th, 1960 to Linda Eaton and the late Peter Kulzer in Niskayuna, New York. Valerie had a true passion for all things nature, arts and crafts, and photography. She had a heart of gold and her smile could light up any room she walked into. She will truely be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Valerie served the Capital region as a Service Coordinator at Umbrella of the Capital District for over 15 years. Her hard work and dedication to her job helped to allow many seniors and people with disabilities to maintain their homes and independence. Valerie is predeceased by her father, Peter Kulzer and her uncle, John Eaton. She is survived by her beloved children, Christian Cichy (Susan), Joseph Cichy, and Racheal Cichy (Adam); her mother Linda Eaton; Her sisters, Kim Vroman, and Lorelei Maylock; Several nieces and nephews; and her adored grandpups, Ollie and Daisy. The family is sincerely grateful to the many friends and family members who have given support and comfort during this time of loss. Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Palmertown Pavilion within Moreau Lake State Park 605 Old Saratoga Rd, Gansevoort, NY 12831.
