Obituary of Lauren Elizabeth Mousseau

ALBANY – Lauren Elizabeth Mousseau, 32, of 516 Hamilton Street, Albany passed away unexpectedly due to complications of asthma on Monday, May 1, 2023. She was born in Plattsburgh on October 9, 1990, the daughter of Anthony Mousseau and Sheila (Jim) VanWeort. Lauren graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2012. She was a gifted photographer as well as being artistically talented in a multitude of ways. Lauren was kind, caring, considerate and compassionate, always reaching out to comfort others, even when she was in need of comfort herself. This caring nature is reflected in her desire to be an organ donor in the hope that she could positively impact numerous lives in conjunction with her passing. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Alex Mousseau (Tara), her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Judith Mousseau, her maternal grandparents, Sherman and Shirley Pombrio, and her loving, supportive partner, Cory Mc Laughlin. She is also survived by three special cousins, Shelby (Josh) Trombley, Tyler Pombrio, and Lacey Pombrio, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, River, Jazz and Peep. She was predeceased by her brother, Ethan Mousseau ( March 2022) and her paternal grandmother, Winifred Mousseau. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider becoming an organ donor. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, beginning at 1 pm at the Rainbow Banquet Hall, 47 Woods Falls Rd, Altona, NY 12910.
