Obituary of William Victorwitch
LATHAM –
William Victorwitch, 88, of Latham, entered into rest on May 3, 2023, in the comfort of his own home under Hospice Care.
The son of the late John and Josephine (Tege) Victorwitch, William was born on October 19, 1934, in Troy, New York.
William was raised in Mechanicville and resided in the Town of Colonie (Latham) for most of his life. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School.
William served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959, receiving an honorable discharge for his service at the rank of SP4 (E-4) (T). Subsequently, Mr. Victorwitch was employed by Sterling Winthrop in Rensselaer, New York. He was a long-time member of the Colonie Elks Club. Growing up on a dairy farm in his youth, William always loved farming and farming equipment.
Survivors include his wife Carol Victorwitch, his children, and their spouses: son Kevin Dickinson (Linda), daughter Gail Gailor (Ernest), son John Dickinson and son Danny Dickinson (Michelle), and his grandchildren and their spouses: Ashley (Brett), Amanda (John), Jessica and Jamie (Rob), Alex and Mary.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by two brothers: Michael and Joseph and loving grandson Matthew.
