Obituary of Elaine Marie McIntyre

EAST CHATHAM – Elaine Marie McIntyre, 67, of East Chatham, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023. Elaine was born on June 29, 1955, the daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia (Parslow) Schermerhorn. Elaine worked as seamstress for over 40 years. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will also be remembered for her love of the Christmas Holiday and her excitement during the season. She will be dearly missed. Elaine is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 49 years, Curtis William McIntyre, Sr., whom she married August 3, 1974, in Stottville New York. Her children: Curtis William McIntyre Jr. (Amy), Christina McIntyre; her grandchildren: Cheyanne Corbett, Curty McIntyre; and great-grandson Lucas Rueger; her siblings: Gail Watson, and Burch Schermerhorn. Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The McIntyre Family has chosen to honor Elaine’s memory in a private way.
