Obituary of Doris M. Glass

ALBANY- DORIS M. GLASS Born November 24, 1932. Location Danville, Virginia. Passed away on February 17, 2014. Doris met her beloved husband in 6th grade at PS 15 Albany, NY. They married on April 24 1952, and were happily married for 62 years. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah from 1963 until her passing. She is survived by her loving husband David Sr. and her 6 children. David Jr. of Albany, Doran Sr. (wife, Delores) of Connecticut, Darrell Sr. of Albany, Dorene Faulkner (husband, Thomas) of Long Island, Donna Venerable (husband Thomas) of North Carolina, Diane Turner (husband, Thomas) of Albany. Also survived by Loving Sister-in-law Clara Harris. She was pre-deceased by her parents Bryant Harris and Gertrude Peatross. Willie Lee Harris, James Vernel Harris and John T. Harris. She was also pre-deceased by Sylverster Henry, John Glass Sr., James Glass, Francis Glass, Harold Glass, Daisy Willingham and Joan Delgado. Also pre-deceased by Darrell Glass, Jr. and Zana Coates her beloved grandchildren. She is also leaves to cherish her loving memory 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Everyone who knew our beloved Doris had one thing to say about her, she was an amazing person. She loved her God, her family, friends and life. She was a woman of few words but much wisdom. She loved her ministry. She loved to laugh and had a quick wit about her that brought joy to everyone who met her. She was a great wife, Mother and Grandmother and everyone adored her. She was selfless and always looking to help others. "She was the perfect mother-in-law. When she gave advice she spoke one or two words, but those words could fill volumes of books" "She had a welcoming heart of gold". Of all the things that Doris loved, she loved her husband David best of all until the very end. Her loving spirit touched everyone she knew and will continue on in our memories always.
