Obituary of Elaine M. Fossner

Elaine M. Fossner, 57, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Syracuse, NY, Elaine grew up in Colonie, NY. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England and had a career as a working actor in England including the Shakespearean Chichester Festival and in radio drama. After returning to the United States she earned a degree in field biology and did field research in Hudson's Bay, Canada. Upon returing to the Capital region she worked as an actor and dancer. Her most recent occupation was working in the medical office of her dear friend Dr. Suzanne Kreienberg helping other women in their journey with breast cancer. Elaine leaves her husband, Nathaniel; children Lily, Lucy and Noah; parents Fred and Mary Hmiel; brothers Steven, Paul, Luke, Adam and Joseph; and nieces and nephews. At the request of her family, Elaine's funeral services will be private. Donations to your local hospice or cancer society would be so appreciated.
