Obituary of Patrick Alan Delaney

Patrick Alan Delaney, 54, of Rotterdam,  passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY after a long illness.

Born on December 8, 1968 in Sharon, CT, Patrick was the son of the late Richard and Gloria (Brunelle) Delaney.

Patrick grew up in Dover Plains, NY where he acquired many friends throughout the years. He attended Dover Jr.-Sr. High School and was part of the class of ’87. Patrick went on to work various general labor construction jobs for local contractors and was well respected in the field.

Patrick is survived by a daughter, Keri Delaney of Mohawk, NY. He is also survived by two sisters, Sue Delaney of Ogden, UT, Joanne Mitras (Kerry) of Dover Plains, NY and a brother Michael Delaney of Dover Plains, NY. Patrick is also survived by his long-time loving partner, Karin Graff of Rotterdam, NY and many nieces and nephews. Patrick will also be especially missed by Mike McGowen and Joanne Deluke and their daughter Desiree and son Michael of Colonie, NY who were all like a second family to him.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was predeceased by three sisters, Sharon Murphy of Plano, TX, Marlene LaRosa-Maddox of Endicott, NY, Marianne Schiavo of Dover Plains, NY and one brother, Richard Delaney of Long Beach, CA.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. There will be no calling hours. Burial with a Graveside Service is pending and will be held on a date to be determined by his family.
