Obituary of James Michael Zasada

ROTTERDAM –

James Michael Zasada passed away on July 27, 2023, in his hometown of Schenectady, NY. He was 71 years old. All through his battle with serious medical conditions in recent years, he never lost his sense of humor, his compassion, or his kindness.
 

James was born to Eleanor Govel Zasada and Raymond J. Zasada on March 20, 1952, at Brady Maternity Hospital in Albany, NY. A graduate of the 1970 Bishop Gibbons High School Class and Georgetown University Class of '76, James then worked diligently as a Real Estate Appraiser in the Capital Region for over 30 years. James loved to eat, loved to drink, and loved to laugh. He was an avid reader, sports enthusiast, and storyteller; he was an intellectual, a comedian, and a true friend.

 

He is predeceased by his loyal, caring and patient wife, Linda H. Zasada, the love of his life. He is survived by his children, Nathan and Elizabeth Zasada, his sisters, Susan Ferrara and Deborah Lees, his brother, Paul Zasada, his dog, Rhyce Zasada, and a great many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

 

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A private memorial service for family will be announced and held in the coming weeks.
