Obituary of Mildred D. Hagaman
WATERVLIET –
Mildred D. Hagaman (Millie), of Watervliet, died on August 13, 2023.
She was 81.
A lifelong resident of Albany County, she was the mother of four: (Debbie Olson Tucker, Lissa Jacobson (Benjamin) , Carl John Eriole, and Kevin Eriole (Donna Cox). She had a special place in her heart for each of them.
Fourteen Grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive. Her niece Dorothy Fellows was also dear to her.
Predeceased by her mom, her daughter Debbie, two sisters and one brother.
Millie worked as a home daycare provider, where she was known as “Aunt Millie”, she was also formerly employed by Valle’s steakhouse, and previously as a Nurses’ Aide, for which she was most proud, and later in life as a Secretary-Administrative Assistant after receiving her training at Bryant & Stratton School of Business. She volunteered for Alive at Five events and was active and loved by her friends at the Troy Senior Center and Watervliet Senior Center. She had been a communicant of Trinity Church in Watervliet, NY.
Millie enjoyed seeing her friends at her Hudson Shores apartment, the change of seasons, holidays and traditions such as visiting apple orchards in the fall. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, baking, Bingo, visiting the track, watching movies, and taking her children bowling and ice skating when younger.
Special thanks to her PA Denise at Whitney Young, all the Doctors, nurses, and helpers at AMCH that cared for her, and her aides and nurses at both home and in her rehab facilities.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
A Celebration of Millie's Life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, beginning at 2PM at the Hudson Shores Apartments, 1545 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189. (The celebration will be held outdoors in nature, weather permitting, or moved inside to the complex community room if necessary). All are welcomed.
