Obituary of Ann-Marie Merrifield
NORTH GREENBUSH –
Ann-Marie Merrifield, 79, of North Greenbush, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023 in Schenectady.
The daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Cytrynak) Sager, Ann-Marie was born on April 9, 1944 in Albany. She was raised and resided in North Greenbush her entire life.
Ann-Marie obtained and Associate Degree and has worked as a receptionist for Merrill Lynch and Miller Veterinary. She was a deaconess and lifelong member of Bloomingrove Reformed Church. Her memberships to organizations included; President of the Reformed Church Women. Home Bureau, and Trustee on the Board of the Bloomingrove Cemetery. Ann-Marie was socially active in her community which centered around church and family. She enjoyed traveling and dining out with friends and family. She also enjoyed car shows and family reunions.
Loving mother of Kevin Merrifield (Channon Moon, DC), cherished grandmother of: Michaela Civitello (Jordan Civitello), Maya Merrifield, Aaron Merrifield, Terra Merrifield, Elijah Merrifield and Tovah Merrifield, and great grandmother to: Abel Merrifield and Aria Civitello. Dearest sister of Marilyn Smith.
In addition to her parents, Ann-Marie was predeceased in death by her husband, Keith Merrifield.
Special thanks to: Michaela Civitello (and her husband Jordan) as well as to Mary Ann Gomes for providing care in her final days. The Merrifield Family also wishes to acknowledge their gratitude to: Ellen Caverly, Susan Hoffay, Nancy Irwin and Edith Hall for their support and care for her throughout her last six months. Also to: Linda Sprague and Kim Sweet for their support and many visits.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Ann-Marie’s memorial service beginning at 11 o’clock, Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Blooming Grove Reformed Church, 706 Bloomingrove Drive, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
