Matt, I only got to know you for a short period of time. I truly enjoyed your friendship and all the talks that we had especially concerning your brother. You were always kind, considerate and helpful to me. You never asked much from me mostly just an occasional ride from me and we always had great conversations. I'm glad that you came with me to church and I will miss not having the chance to get to know you better. I remember telling you that I loved you like if you were one of my own nephews and that was and is true. I will miss your gentle soul Matt.

Dear Matt Matt,
Yes, I know I am probably the only one whoever called you “Matt Matt” but I started it so when you were so little and just stayed.
As I reflect on the beautiful soul that you were, I am filled with a mix of emotions. While my heart aches with the pain of losing you, it also swells with gratitude for the time we had together when you were younger and the love we shared. Though we may not have had the chance to create countless memories together now were we as close as I would have hoped, since you were about 12-13 years old, I want you to know that you were always in my thoughts and prayers. I love you so very much!! Your presence in our lives, no matter how fleeting, left a positive impact!
You were more than just my nephew; you were a ray of sunshine in our lives. Your infectious laughter, your mischievous smile, and your kind heart touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. You brought joy and happiness wherever you went, and your absence is deeply felt by all.
Your journey through life was not an easy one, and you faced many challenges and obstacles along the way. Despite the hardships you encountered, you were such a loving, caring and compassionate person. Often, your resilience shone through–you displayed strength and determination in the face of adversity. Your spirit was never completely extinguished, you were such a loving and thoughtful person.
Though your path may have taken you down a difficult road, you still showed kindness and empathy towards others. Your actions, no matter how small, had the power to make a difference in someone's life. You had the ability to bring a smile to someone's face and to offer a helping hand.
I want you to know that you are loved. Your life had meaning, and your struggles do not define you. We remember the spark of light that resided within you, and we will carry that light forward in our own lives.
You may no longer be physically present with us, but your spirit continues to live on in our hearts. The memories we created together will forever be cherished, and the love we shared will never fade away. Your impact on our lives is immeasurable, and the void left by your absence can never be filled.
As we navigate through the pain of losing you, we find solace in knowing that you are now at peace, free from the burdens of this world. We take comfort in the belief that you are watching over us, guiding us, and sending us signs of your presence. Your spirit will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to cherish every moment, to love unconditionally, and to live life to the fullest.
We miss you deeply, but we find solace in knowing that you are now in a place where pain and suffering no longer exist. May your soul find the peace it sought. May you finally be free from the burdens that weighed you down and may your light continue to shine upon us.
Rest in peace, Matt Matt, knowing that you are loved, cherished, and remembered for the wonderful, loving spirit that you were.
Until we meet again, know that you are loved beyond measure.
Forever in our hearts,
Aunt Stacey

Matthew- no time can ever prepare a parent or sibling over a loss of a child, brother or sister. My life has been shattered. I do know that you want me happy and I will do my best to get back to that point. I’m relieved that you are not suffering and fighting that awful battle and grateful that we were able to be there with you as you transitioned to heaven.
My love for you is endless. From the day I found out I was pregnant to eternity.
Thank you fir always being so kind and gentle with everyone. I hope you found Max and can go on a long walk without pain.
Until we meet again- I love you so very much Matthew and my heart is broken.

Matthew, why I don't know why God chooses to bring the young ones home so soon, I do know that you're finally at peace and no longer suffering. I will remember all of the times we did have together growing up and that smile you carried with you. Please watch over me and the rest of your family as we mourn the loss of losing you. You'll forever be in my heart and a day won't go by that I don't think of you. Please say hi to Donna and Max for me, and hold them close as you'll never be alone. I love you, and I will see you later. Forever, your little sister ❤️
