Obituary of Michael Patrick Hartigan
WYNANTSKILL –
Mr. Michael Patrick Hartigan, 57, of Wynantskill, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 with his wife by his side.
Born in Glens Falls on June 11, 1966, Michael was the son of Gail (Hamilton) Hartigan and the late William Hartigan. He was raised in Brainard, NY and was a graduate of New Lebanon Junior/Senior High School (class of 1984) and also SUNY Oswego majoring in business administration obtaining his bachelor’s degree.
Mr. Hartigan’s employment history includes various college book stores in the area. He then accepted a position with FYE as an inventory control analyst. He was lastly employed by SAS Retail Systems as a reset associate with retail displays.
Michael enjoyed bowling and loved his dogs, he will be warmly remembered for spending summers with his family at Queechy Lake in Canaan, NY. His boisterous laugh and enthusiasm supporting his children’s sporting events is legendary. He will be sorely missed.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 33 years, Susan (Pfeiffer) Hartigan, whom he married on August 25, 1990 in Cortlandt Manor, NY. He was the father of two children: Kayla and Kyle Hartigan. He was the brother of Michelle (Corey) White, Meghan (Carl) Bornhorst, Sean (Kelsey) Hartigan and the late Joanna Hartigan who passed away in 2002.
Michael is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, a myriad of cousins and many aunts, uncles and lifelong family friends.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with Michael’s Family and may call from 4-6PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 in the Chapel of Simple Choices, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. A Memorial Service will be conducted in the funeral home at the conclusion of the calling hours at 6PM. All are welcomed.
