Obituary of Patricia A. Audi
EAST GREENBUSH –
Patricia A. Audi, 79, of East Greenbush, died unexpectedly on December 20, 2023 after a devastating fall in a rehabilitation center.
Patricia was born in Albany on October 23, 1944. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and Mildred Elley College. Patricia worked as a cashier at the Albany Public Market, where she met a handsome grocery clerk (her future husband, John.) They married on May 13, 1967. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Lanzetta Marble and Joseph Losito, and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Patricia loved being “Nana” and watching her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years: John; her children: Christine (Audi) Strevell, John “Tony”
Audi and Michael (Rose) Audi; adored grandchildren: Ryan Strevell, TJ Strevell, Chris Audi, Tierney Audi, Vincent Audi and Nicholas Audi; sister: Anna Hawkins; sister in law Helen Nolan; brother in law Joseph Losito; nieces and nephews: Annamae (Matthew) Logan, Theresa (Bill) McLaren, Timothy (Melissa) Hussey, Michelle Hussey, Daniel Hussey, Patricia (Roy) Barr, Donna (Ed) Carey, Sandy Hawkins, Stephanie Bishop (Losito), Laura (Terry) Forde, Francis (Bethany) Losito, Joseph Losito, Kathleen Nolan; and her best friends Mary O’Connell and Paula Leitch-Stage.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents: Eleanor and Joseph “Joe” C. Nolan; brothers: Cornelius “Neil” Nolan and Francis “Frank” Nolan; sisters: Catherine Hussey and Mary Losito; brothers in law: Robert “Bob” Hussey and Charles “Charlie” Hawkins; nephews: John Hussey and Daniel Fuino; and her faithful dog, Dozer.
Special thanks to the teams in Albany Medical Center’s emergency department and D4 staff, who moved mountains to help mom and dad be together when she passed. Their compassion and kindness went above and beyond; we are forever grateful for them.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
A celebration of her life will be held on a future date, this summer.
