SCOTIA –
Paul H. Tomlinson, Jr., 61, of Scotia, passed away unexpectedly in his own home on January 15, 2024.
The son of the late Paul H. Tomlinson Sr. and Christel M. (Thompson) Tomlinson, Paul, Jr. was born on March 7, 1962 in Schenectady, NY. He was raised in and around the Village of Scotia. He attended local schools and attended Scotia-Glenville High School.
Paul worked a variety of jobs, often as a tradesman. He worked as a window builder for Rueten-Kleins in Schenectady, an electrician for Arket Electric in Scotia, and Tech Services for the Daily Gazette in Schenectady.
Paul loved working with his hands, he was knowledgeable in anything that required turning a wrench or a screwdriver, and if he didn't know, he would research it until he was an expert. He always took time to teach what he knew to his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Susan L. (Jette) Tomlinson, whom he married on September 8, 1984 in Glenville, NY. His three children: Andrew (Jasmine), Erik (Victoria) and Alexis. Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Deborah Novak(Ken), Susan Marra(Phil).
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother Donald.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 3-6PM at the Holy Redeemer Lutheran Chruch, 103 S Reynolds Street, Scotia, NY 12302. All are welcomed.
