Obituary of Bernard Wesley Check, Sr.
GLENS FALLS –
Bernard (Bernie) Wesley Check Sr., 58, passed away on January 29, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Bernie was born on June 6, 1965 to the late Stephen and Inge (Bocher) Check. He was also a graduate of Cohoes High School.
His family and friends will remember him as a “jokester” who also loved singing, playing his guitar and writing music.
He is survived by his children Stephanie Thomas, Ben (Cassandra) Check and his step children Kelly (Jason) McKeown, Pamela Tenace and Paul (Erica) Ashdown. His brother Raymond Covey, his sisters Isabella Currier, Mary (Paul) Thibeault, and Diana Dufresne. His grandchildren Hope, Holden, Helena, Amanda, Bella, Amara, Tiffani, Kortni, Konnor, Landon, Maxx, Oliver, Marjorie, Kimberly and April. His God daughter Christina Haupt. Several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents and brother Everett Covey.
Cremation has taken place through Simple Choices, Inc.
The family will hold a memorial service to honor Bernie on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 4pm at Greater Grace Community Church at 100 Saratoga Village Blvd., Suite 17 Malta, New York 12020.
