Obituary of Matthew Dean Ference
SCHENECTADY –
Matthew Dean Ference, 68, of Schenectady, departed this life unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home on February 4, 2024.
The son of the late John and Ruth Ference, Matthew was born on July 18, 1955 in Schenectady.
Mr. Ference was a lifelong resident of Schenectady, New York, where he attended local schools. He was a graduate of Alfred State College SUNY with an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Ference was employed by the Environmental One Corporation in Niskayuna, NY.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Mark Ference and his sister Stephanie Ference Gearhart. In addition to his parents, Matthew was predeceased by Jan A. Ference.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Matthew’s Family has chosen to honor his memory and mourn their loss in private.
