Obituary of George H. Miller

JOHNSONVILLE –
 
George “Henry” Miller, 77, of Johnsonville, formerly of Hoosick Falls, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024 at The Center Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY.
 
Henry, as he was known to family and friends, was born on July 4, 1946 in Framingham, Massachusetts.
 
He was raised in Hoosick Falls and Johnsonville and received his education from Hoosick Falls schools.
 
Henry enjoyed helping others, especially his lifelong friend Jerry from the former LaSaletta Restaurant. He was an honorary member of Johnsonville Fire Department and also a member of the Pittstown Methodist Church. Always active and staying busy, Henry liked volunteering at the Schaghticoke Fair and Johnsonville Fire Department events. Henry was interested in horses, he enjoyed traveling to different destinations (especially where there were horses). He loved going to rodeos, rummage sales, flea markets, tending to his garden, listening to music and Old Westerns (especially John Wayne). Most of all, Henry cherished the time spent with his family and friends, especially outdoors and with good food.
 
Henry was the dear brother of: Isabel Boomhower, Georgian Balentine, William (Bill) Miller, Jean Ann Dwyer, Richard Watson, Janet Watson and Penelope Overholser, all of whom survive him.
 
He was predeceased by and now joins in Heaven, his parents: George Miller, Sr., Richard Watson and Jeanette O'Brien Watson, and one of his sisters, Gladys Lee.
 
Our family is forever grateful and wishes to acknowledge our cousin, Ruth Brundige (and her family) for being Henry’s main caregiver for the last 15 years.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Henry’s Family will plan a private celebration of life at a future date.
