I met Seamus many years ago on one of the Irish Northern Aid trips to the North of Ireland. We met once again when I was traveling solo and staying with a friend in Belfast. He introduced me to Mickey McGeown (Pat's brother}. He invited me to Mickey's home after one of the Anti-Internment Rallies and then the three of us during that week went to Derry for a big March & Rally. I believe it was 25 years on with the Troubles. Making our way to the March we were stopped going over the bridge in Derry. Seamus had a Capitol District banner in a cylinder that may have looked like a weapon. We were sweating it when the Brits approached but after examining everything they released us to go forward! He was a true gentleman who love his family, country and adopted country of Ireland!!
