Obituary of Patricia S. Meier
COLONIE –
Patricia S. (Pat) Meier, 85, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
The daughter of the late George Schaf and Eve (Domagalski) Taylor, Patricia was born on January 19, 1939 in Albany, and was a lifelong resident of Colonie.
Pat enjoyed staying active and tending to her home and gardens. She was an enthusiastic reader who loved arts and crafts, sewing and home improvement projects.
But most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and girlfriends.
Survivors include her two children and their spouses: Katharine Shiffert (Otto) and Gary Meier (Liz), and one grandson Kyle Plaske (Holley).
Besides her parents, Pat was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Schaf, and her granddaughter Emily (Meier) D'Aquila.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
In accordance with her wishes services will be private, a memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
Pat’s family wishes to acknowledge all of the staff at the Home of the Good Shepherd and The Community Hospice for their compassion and care.
