He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and many, dear friends.
For 45 years Tom was the loving husband of Dorene and beloved father to his cherished daughters Melanie and Michelle.
Tom had a reputation for being a very good listener. He was non-judgmental and was described by friends as someone who was kind and never turned his back on someone in need. His calm personality was valued by those close to him. Patience was also one of his most admirable qualities. He was discerning and wise, loyal and funny. He was fun-loving and energetic in his youth and beyond. He loved restoring classic Mustangs as a hobby. His favorite sport was basketball and he was very skilled at it. He loved it so much he would play for hours 4-5 times a week until he found something he loved even more.
In 1970 at the age of 16 Tom responded to the message he heard from his mother and friends Henry Taboda and Irene King. He made a personal dedication to Jehovah and from then on his priority was to do whatever he could to help others come to know and love Jehovah. He was selfless when it came to carrying out his responsibilities within the congregations he served on Long Island and Upstate New York. He willingly gave his time and energy to making sure things ran smoothly to honor Jehovah and Jesus. Anyone who really knew Thomas, knew that was the most important thing in this world to him. Even in his last days after an extended illness, he wanted nothing more than to keep working hard for Jehovah. He was determined to do his very best out of love, loyalty and gratitude for all that was given to him.
Thomas fell asleep in death peacefully on April 18, 2024 with his loving wife and dear friend Mark by his side. having spent 54 years loyally serving God and helping others to do the same. He will be remembered for his humble, caring spirit, peaceful nature, and the loving encouragement he gave to all he came in contact with.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all who so lovingly cared for Thomas. Those who offered practical assistance visiting him in the hospital, providing meals and especially all the heartfelt prayers expressed for Thomas and the family. Your kind words and encouragement spoken through many cards, phone calls and messages helped more than you know. We will always be beyond grateful for your loving care.
