Obituary of Sheila Rose Caruso
SCOTIA –
Sheila Rose Caruso, 61, of Scotia, formerly of Schenectady, passed away on May 31, 2024 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
The daughter of the late Douglas and June (Mitchell) Clow, Sheila was born on August 29, 1962 in Schenectady where she was also raised. She enjoyed most of her adult years living in the Village of Scotia. Sheila attended Schenectady High School and left to raise her children. She battled cancer for over eighteen years and as a result, had to leave the job she loved at Schenectady Day Nursery as a childcare provider.
Sheila was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved her grandchildren, the ocean and dolphins, as well as driving around the Village of Scotia on her scooter to pick up a large ice tea at Cumberland Farms.
Loving mother of Shannon (Joseph) Loveland, Jay Caruso and Shereena Clow (Troy Culihan).
Cherished grandmother of: Catherine Rose Loveland, Rebecca Loveland, Renee Rose Culihan, Roman Kyle Clow and RoseZina Culihan.
Dearest sister of: Constance (David) Boyce and Maureen Clow.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was predeceased by one brother, Evan Clow.
Our family wishes to thank all of the doctors and nurses who aided in her care over the years.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
