Pops, my most avid memories with you, always involved Creed or Dave Matthew’s Band playing in the background while you cooked and organized the house (for the millionth time LOL). You always had such a sense of humor, flawed like most humans but always authentically you. The best memories are when we lived in Berne, you took us 4wheeling, cookouts were great and country life is what really held our family together. The countless animals that you and ma owned were ridiculous, but it was so amazing that you held so much love in your hearts to share your world with other creatures, that’s where little Dave gets it from. As a child, I looked up to you with so much admiration. As I continue this earthly journey without you and now well into adulthood, I carry you with me, every time I cook a home cooked meal, every time my favorite Creed song comes on my shuffle, every time I breathe the nostalgic country air. Life was not easy for you, I woefully put you to rest knowing you are at peace now. I know you will always be a part of me, as a part of me was put to rest with you when you passed. I’ll always hold and cherish the good memories we had together. Until we meet again, fly high. <3
