Obituary of Arnold W. Bushman, Jr.
MIDDLE GROVE –
On August 14, 2024, Mr. Arnold W. Bushman Jr., 85, of Middle Grove, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home with his devoted wife holding his hand and daughters by his side.
He was born on July 7, 1939 in Schenectady, New York. A son of the late Arnold W. Bushman, Sr. and Dorothy (Mordsfeld) Bushman.
Arnie was raised in Schenectady and has resided in Schenectady and Middle Grove. He spent summers at Lake Desolation and was a Union Carpenter in Schenectady NY for over 50 years.
In his personal time, Arnie enjoyed hunting and loved taking his dogs for walks. He also was interested in antique cars.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Margaret (Madigan) Bushman, his beloved children and their spouses: Linda (Matthew), Kimberly (Michael), Sharon (Craig). His cherished grandchildren: Christopher, Cortney, Zachary, Shelby, Zoe, Jesse and Ian, and also great grandchildren: Bodhi and Ivy. Surviving siblings and in-laws include: Wesley (Susan), David and Kathy (John).
In addition to his father, Arnold, Sr. and mother Dorothy, Arnold was also predeceased by his step mother Florence, his siblings: Linda, Barbara and Joseph, as well as Gary Maher, his lifelong friend and confidant.
Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center, Albany Medical Center, and Saratoga Hospital Palliative Care for their tremendous care. Special thanks to: The Carpenters Union 291, to Charlie Meyers and Fran Maher for your friendship and kindness.
Cremation Rites have been accorded by Simple Choices, Inc.
A Celebration of Arnie’s Life will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date.
