Obituary of Kelly A. Crine
CHATHAM –
Kelly A. Crine, 54, of Chatham, NY, died on August 19, 2024.
Kelly was born and lived her childhood years in the Middletown, NY area. She moved to the Albany area as a teenager, and graduated from Columbia High School in 1987. Kelly graduated from Russell Sage College in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Dedicated to her profession, and to caring for and helping others, Kelly worked for a number of years as an OT in Albany and Western Mass. preschool and public schools, and then at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.
Kelly was well known for her love of the great outdoors. She was an avid walker, hiker and biker. And, ever up for a challenge, Kelly mastered stilt walking which she greatly enjoyed. Kelly’s other passions were music and dance, especially contradancing. One of her favorite destinations was the Ashokan Center in the Catskills. Attending festivals and events there, and at other venues, for many years nourished her love of nature, music, dance and community.
Known for her kind, caring, generous and adventurous spirit, Kelly’s last few years were devoted to creating a health and wellness community and mindset.
Kelly’s greatest achievement however, and that which she treasured most, are her three boys Jordan, Griffin, and Julian, of whom she was so incredibly proud.
Kelly is survived by her beloved partner Daniel Pikett of Chatham, her parents, Patricia (Morrison) Greene (Ronald) of West Sand
Lake, and Douglas Crine (Alicia) of Matamoras, Pa., her sons Jordan Froehlich of Denver, Co., Griffin Piester of Kinderhook, NY, and Julian Livermore of Hinsdale, Ma, her stepbrothers Todd Greene of Washington DC and Ronald Greene (Kimberly) of Gilbert, AZ, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a niece and nephew.
The family is grateful for the care provided to Kelly by St. Peter’s Community Hospice and Women’s Cancer Care Programs, and especially for the love, care, kindness and support of Kelly’s extensive circle of dear friends.
There will be a memorial Celebration of Life honoring Kelly in the near future.
