Obituary of Kathleen (Meyer) Romeo
AMSTERDAM –
Kathleen (Meyer) Romeo, 75, of Amsterdam, NY passed from this life to be with her husband, on October 24, 2024.
Kathe was born in Buffalo NY, to the late Herbert and Helen Meyer. She spent her lifetime in NY, where she met her late husband, Richard Romeo in 1975. Together, they bred and raised German Shepherds and Cardigan Welsh Corgis, under the kennel names Kameleen and Dunrovin. Kathe had a lifelong love of dogs, horses and irises, which can all be found featured in her many drawings and paintings.
She is survived by her three brothers: Jim (Lisa) Meyer, Paul (Roxanne) Meyer, Jeffrey Meyer; her two children: Michael Romeo and Amy Romeo, as well as nieces and nephews.
There will be a private interment where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the National MS Society, AKC Take the Lead, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
