Sara - I know how well you treated your mother and how much you miss her. Each time she is mentioned, the tears still well in your eyes and I want to hug you. You made many sacrifices to care for your mom because you loved her so much.
She was SO lucky to have a daughter like you; to get to live together with her own daughter in a family home, rather than an institution far away. I know you were torn between being near your own child and grandchildren on one coast, and leaving your mom behind on another - but you came to the best conclusion and luckily your mom was thrilled to be invited to go with you.
I am sure she realized how lucky she was to have someone she loved take such excellent care of her, play board games with her, tenderly brush her hair, make her favorite meals, and hug her daily in senior years was all that she could ever wished for. Bless you Sara. May peace always be with you.
