Obituary of Donna Lee Aronstein
Schenectady - Donna Lee Aronstein, 69, of Schenectady, died Wednesday, Sept. 7th, at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Donna was a native of Schoharie, born Aug. 15, 1947 to parents George and Jacquelyn Liddle. She attended Middleburgh High School, and had a long career working in group homes serving those with mental disabilities. Donna was a mother figure to many, including three younger sisters she raised following their mother's death, the boys in the band, her co-workers, and many young people who were a part of her life. Donna loved her rock and roll music, flowers, crafts, friends and family, and lived life to the fullest.
Donna is survived by husband Robert G. Aronstein, sisters Georgette Nelson, Cindy Nelson, and Dorothy Jouben, daughter Rebecca Gorton Shepard, son Robert Gorton, grandchildren Amanda, David, Sheena and Shiela, and great-grandchildren Naiyeli and Kyris, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bruce Liddle, and son Cody Gorton.
The family is grateful for condolences, but declines flowers.
