Obituary of Barbara A. Bilewicz
Schenectady, NY -
Barbara A. Bilewicz, age 69, passed away from lung cancer on September 15, 2016. She was born in Ft. Mead, MD, the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Roger and Gertrude (Sliner) Bilewicz. She graduated From Notre Dame- Bishop Gibbons HS and retired as a biller from Ellis Hospital.
She cherished the times she spent with her two grandchildren, Charis and Micaiah, and her volunteer work at the Bethesda House in Schenectady as well as her singing in the St. Paul the Apostle Church choir, working on her art and gardening.
She is survived by her three children, Theresa (Nathan) Crowder of Sanford, FL; James Borkowski of Greenville, SC. and Lee Ann Heintze of Schenectady; her sister Christina (Michael) Brady and brother John (Nely) Bilewicz. Her sister, Holly Bilewicz, died in 2004. She loved Jesus and was devout to His Blessed Mother.
A gathering of remembrance will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 4PM at the Living Hope Church, 458 Old Niskayuna Rd., Niskayuna, NY 12110. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church 2227 Albany St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
Interment will follow the mass in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, corner of Albany St. & Kings Rd., Schenectady.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to St. Paul the Apostle Church.
