Obituary of Martha (Munro) Dingle
GUILDERLAND
Martha Louise (Munro) Dingle departed this stage of existence on to her next journey on September 10, 2016, after a long illness.
"Marty" or "Mick" as she was known was born on February 23, 1929, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. She graduated from her high school as valedictorian, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy and was later an actor and script assistant for C.B.C. Canada. Marty was employed by Albany Savings Bank/Citizens Bank for many years and went on to work for Service Merchandise and Boscov's in fine jewelry departments. She loved the ocean, gardening, reading, music and dance, cats, spontaneous trips and her family. She has been described by many as vivacious and strong.
Marty was predeceased by her parents, James F. Munro and V. Elizabeth Marshon Munro; her husband, Roy C. Dingle; and her brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Ruth Munro. She is survived by her loving children, Matthew "Sean" Dingle (Adam Myers) of Harrisburg N.C., and Rachel Warnke (Matthew Warnke) of Delanson; grandchildren, Tera, Jamie, Corey, Gillian; and great-grandchildren, Rhianna, Landen and Skyler in addition to nieces and nephews in Canada.
A small celebration of life service will be held in the chapel at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, on Route 20 in Guilderland on November 12, at 3:30 p.m.
