Obituary of Florence Margaret Hoffman
Florence M. Hoffman, 92 of Albany, entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 10th 2016.
Florence is predeceased by her beloved husband John C. Hoffman, her sisters Ann Venus and Catherine Martin. One of Flo's dearest loves in this world was her husband. Married 62 years Flo and Jacks love only grew stronger as they spent their years together. Like a Tale from a love story, Flo as a young woman stood beside Jack as he prepared to fight in the war and she anxiously awaited his return. They built a life, a home, traveled the country from coast to coast often taking road trips. Flo stood by Jack all the way until the end. When Jacks health started to fail, Flos main priority was to make sure his every need was met. "every day that I shared with him was a gift from god" as she said, their love for each other was truly one of life’s greatest love stories.
A few of Flos greatest Joys were cooking, gardening, and baking. Flo loved to have candy available for the kids in the neighborhood who came by often for sweets, she was known as "The Candy Lady" to the little ones. Florence is survived by many nieces and nephews, beloved friends and neighbors.
Florence is also survived by her beloved Nico "Nicky" Cunningham, Rena Cunningham, Ross Cunningham, Bria Cunningham, Tammy Malone, Kendra Reinemann. A special thanks of gratitude goes to Flos dear friends Sandy (Homer) Warner, Sue Hollander, and Nikki Smith and her beloved niece Carol Cichowski for their love and care. Florence was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
