Daniel. L . Giroux
Naples, Floida- Daniel Giroux, 54, passed away on May 30, 2011 with his family at his side at Ellis Hospital in
Schenectady, NY
Daniel was born in St Jeans, Quebec, Canada on July 27, 1956. He was the son of the late Adrien And
Laurette Giroux. He grew up in Rouses Point, NY and graduated from N.E. Clinton Central. After
Graduating he moved to Florida and worked at the Mai-Kai and Ritz Carlton and truly was a professional
in his field.
Daniel is survived by his daughters Nicole, Jennielle and her husband Nicholas, Grandchildren Audriana,
Jack, Joshua and Matthew. He is also survived by his brother and wife Jacques and Donna Giroux, his
sisters and their husbands Micheline and Serge Giroux, Linda Giroux and Barry Barndt. As well as his
nieces and nephews Chantel Giroux and spouse Kyle, Gabrielle and spouse Joe LeBoeuf, Hilary
Tetreault, Annick Giroux and spouse Nick, Megan, Joshua, and Andrew Barndt.
We would like to thank all his surviving friends in Florida, especially Phil, Gayle, Delvin and Marcello who saw him through
many good and bad times. We are sure there are many more we haven't mentioned. We would also like to
thank the staff at Ellis Hospital, especially nurses Jessica, Linda, and a dear friend Cathy.
Daniel enjoyed being around family, friends and a good game of football. His out-going personality was
his greatest trait and he will be sorely missed and never forgotten. He was always there with a smile and a
compliment. Daniel will be returned to his native home of Canada and laid to rest with his parents.
Contributions in his memory can be sent to Ellis Hospital 1101 Nott Street, Schenectady, NY 12308
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace bethine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
