Obituary of William F. End, Jr.
William F. End, Jr., 92, died Sunday, April 15, at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William F. Sr. and Mabel Hislop End, and husband of the late June E. End.
He had resided in Troy all of his life and was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. End was a mechanical engineer, most of his career at Ross Valve Manufacturing Co. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy E. End of Nashua, N.H.; a son, David W. (Nancy) End of Maple Glen, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Caroline End. He was predeceased by sisters Mabel Davies and Helen End.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 24th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Lansingburgh. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The Rev. Gusti Newquist, Pastor of 1st Presbyterian Church of Troy will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of William F. End, Jr. to the Children’s’ Cancer Center at Albany Medical Center, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Simple Choices Cremation Service.
