Obituary of Angela K. Giles
Lake Placid, NY
Angela Kristine (DeBenedetto) Giles, 48, of Lake Placid, NY, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters Hospital in Albany, after a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer.
She was born April 9, 1970, the daughter of Daniel J. DeBenedetto, Sr, and Bonnie Oakes.
She is survived by her loving parents, Dan and Karen DeBenedetto of Halfmoon, her loving brothers, Dan Jr. “DJ” (Kelly Ann Murphy), of Louisville, KY, Andrew (Angelica Rico), Joshua of Halfmoon, grandmother, Gladys Davis of Myrtle Beach, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Angela was predeceased by her dear husband Johnathon Giles, who died on December 23, 2014, and her dearly loved brothers, Michael and Paddy.
Angela was such a fighter for these last 10 years, and wanted to keep fighting to the end, but her body was tired and in pain. Now she is pain free and with her brothers. Angela loved cats and horses and we hope the rainbow bridge will bring beloved pets to her side also.
Services will be private. Donations in Angela’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen or the Community Inn Residence at St. Peter’s Hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Albany Medical Neurosurgery Unit and the Community Hospice Inn for their care and attention to Angela. The family appreciates all your kindnesses.
