I worked with "Doc" (as we fondly knew him) on The D&H Rwy. from 1970 on as a train dispatcher in Albany, N.Y. He worked the locals/yard jobs and some road freights in the Saratoga Springs, Fort Edward and Whitehall, N.Y. area and was always a pleasure to work with. I left The D&H in 1988 to go to Conrail and of course lost track of most of my buddies there, including Bill. Hopefully he enjoyed a full life in retirement and left this life peacefully.
