Obituary of Janet K. Winter
GLENMONT
Janet Klimacek Winter, 67, passed away suddenly on Sunday February 5, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany NY. Born in Little Falls, NY on March 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Olga Klimacek. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, David J. Winter.
Survivors include her children, J.Lonny Winter and D. Scott Winter, brother-in-law Bill Winter and his wife Ann, brother Ronald, sister-in-law Karen Klimacek, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Janet was a graduate of Little Falls High School and received a BS in education and an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany. She worked as a business teacher at Highland High School in Highland, NY, where she created a special bond with many of her students. She then retired to stay home with her family. Janet enjoyed reading, keeping in touch with her friends, and hiking with her family at Five Rivers in Delmar, NY.
Her family would like to thank the staff of the Delmar EMS and the emergency room at St. Peter's Hospital for the care they provided to Janet.
