It was a honor and joy to be a part of some of Alan's wonderful shows, and the trip to Spain. May he rest in peace in the arms of God.

Allan and I were in "Light Up the Sky" at The Schenectady Playhouse. We became "good buddies" as we labored through tough times with a difficult director. Many times we cried on each other's shoulders.

Allan and his fellow manager Harvey Doering took me to lunch for my first interview with GE. I subsequently worked for both of them. They were both real gentlemen.
Alan and I traveled to the gas turbine site at Houston Power and Light on several occasions, crawling around in the cramped bellmouths of several gas turbines, inspecting the compressors, he loved it. Al was a good manager. He was not a micro-manger. Al took care of his those who worked for him. Saw him briefly last summer. Looked the same as always. Surprised and saddened at his passing. God bless.

I first saw Allan as Rutledge in SLOC'S 1776, which was the show that introduced me to the world of local theater, and becme a fan and avid participant since. He and Marion were gracious and good hearted, made me feel at ease and at home , and encouraged me to pursue theater interests. It has made me a new and better person as a result . A part of the SLOC stalwarts. He is no doubt mounting a production with our other dearly departed SLOCers in heaven now . Thank you Allan
