Obituary of Brian P. Salway

WATERFORD – Brian P. Salway, 66 of Waterford, formerly of Troy, entered into rest on August 12, 2022. The son of the late Arthur J. and Elizabeth P. “Betty” (O’Hagan) Salway, Brian was born on April 3, 1956, in Troy. He was raised and resided in Troy, where he received his education from Lansingburgh Schools. Mr. Salway was a former roofer, cook and delivery driver for Jimmy's Pizza in Troy and bartender for The Veterans of Lansingburgh. His memberships included the Veterans of Lansingburgh Sons as well as the All-Troy Club in Lansingburgh. Brian will be warmly remembered for having a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends. Survivors include his children: Kenneth (Erin) Salway, Christopher (Jody) Salway and two grandchildren. Brian is also survived by siblings: Arlene (Robert) Mosher, Thomas (Marian) Salway, Grace (Jim) Graziane, as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Brian was predeceased by his siblings: Gordon Salway, Dorothy Higgitt-Horton, William Salway, Robert (his wife Jean survives) Salway, Arthur Salway and Paul Salway. Brian’s family wishes to thank his caring nieces and nephews, especially Keith, Paulie, Robert and P.J. who made frequent visits and provided support wherever needed, along with his longtime friend Cathy Pike. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The family is planning a private celebration of life in memory of Brian.
