Obituary of William Taylor Westcott

SCHENECTADY- William Taylor Westcott, 80, of Schenectady, formerly of Watertown, entered into rest on August 28, 2022, in the comfort of his own home with his loving family at his side. The son of the late William Booth and Constance (Harrington) Westcott, William was born on December 7, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised in Watertown, New York and was a graduate of R.P.I., Troy. From 1965, Mr. Westcott was a staff member for the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce. He continued chamber work returning to Schenectady in 1981 as the chief executive until 1991. Survivors include his wife, Joan (Bartlett) Westcott, his sons: William (Pam) Westcott and Brad Westcott, his grandchildren: Wheatley Westcott and Jadyn Westcott, and siblings: David Parker, Gary (Jill) Parker and Lisbeth Briot. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The Family is planning a private ceremony.
