Obituary of Wayne C. Ziegler

TROY – Wayne C. Ziegler, 62, of Troy, New York, formerly of Old Bridge, New Jersey, entered into rest on September 3, 2022, at the Stratton V.A. Medical Center in Albany, New York. The son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Anne Ziegler, Wayne was born on May 5, 1959, in Burlington, Vermont. Mr. Ziegler received his education from Cedar Ridge High School and the United States Air Force. He has resided in Vermont, Texas, Ohio, Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, Maryland, New Jersey and lastly in New York. Wayne held many jobs throughout the years, mostly to help others. He worked at Time Warner for many years. His most recent position was working at Giuseppe's, mainly as a delivery driver, with the owners who were lifelong friends and treated him as family. Wayne was a loving and generous person. He always made the best of any circumstances, usually always laughing, but would defend anyone he thought was not being treated properly. If you knew him, he was a loyal friend and would go out of his way to help anyone! Survivors include his brother, Robert W. Ziegler of Georgia. Wayne was predeceased by his father in 2006, his mother in 2016 and by his eldest brother Kenny, at age 28, in 1985. A special “thank you” to all the wonderful nurses at the VA Hospital who loved him and cared for him like family. Also, Nicole who visited regularly, Kristin at Pats Pub, Carmine at Giuseppe’s, his friends around Troy and from New Jersey, especially Debbie, Bruce, and Marc for many visits, but also so many others.... Thank you all for your Love and support of Wayne!! Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Interment with military honors will be held privately in the Gerald B.H.
