Obituary of Norma Knapp-Fordman
SCOTIA –
Norma Knapp-Fordman, 87, of Scotia, entered into rest on September 22, 2022, in the comfort of her own home.
The daughter of the late Clinton and Beatrice Knapp, Norma was born on February 7, 1936, in Albany, New York. She was raised in Albany and resided in Scotia at the time of her death.
A woman of faith, Norma was a member of several churches in the Schenectady area. She retired from Ellis Hospital. Norma loved going to the farmer’s markets. She also enjoyed watching Hockey and football, especially with her son Scott.
Survivors include her children: Scott Boomhower, Paul Boomhower and Kim Boomhower. Her grandchildren: Jessica Boomhower, Brittany Boomhower, Cody Boomhower, Nicholas Sweet, Cody Richards, and October Boomhower. Norma is also survived by one brother, Douglas Knapp.
In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her sister in law, Mary Knapp.
Norma’s Family would like to thank the Hospice team who helped her during her last weeks of life, here on Earth. Especially Tammy R. for helping our mom right up to the end and to Melissa Brown for anointing Norma with The Holy Spirit, the night before her passing.
Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15th beginning at 10 AM at Come to the Table Ministries, 127 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia NY 12302.
