I was so sad to hear of Nathan's passing. I home tutored Nathan during his Shaker freshman year in Honors geometry spending many hours at your dining room table and at Albany Med while Nathan received dialysis. Nathan was such a respectful, conscientious and bright student. Always well prepared for our sessions, he asked insightful questions and did well on all tests (he wanted to get all those bonus problems right so he could score over 100!) I can still remember his perfectly neat printing and well organized geometry proofs. Nathan loved to learn! But most of all Nathan was such a sweet, caring person who always greeted me with a smile despite all the medical challenges he was facing. Over the years I have thought of him often. He was truly a stand out kid!
My deepest sympathy to all of your family who continually advocated for Nathan and did whatever it took to help him through tough times. My prayers and thoughts are with you. May the memories you have of family times together help you all through this difficult time.
With love,
Harriet Greenberg

I sat a few pews behind your family on Sunday mornings. It always made me feel blessed and privileged to see all the love you guys shared, you have a beautiful family! I knew Nathan was going through a very tough time, but he always radiated patience and kindness. I am so sorry for your loss and know Nathan is at peace.

My sincere and most heartfelt condolences to Nathan's family and friends. He'll be missed. I met him through the online gaming community of RIFT a few years back and he was always helpful and kind to others in game, with some humor on the side. He certainly helped me out often enough.
I wrote this for a family member many, many years ago. I often find myself sharing it for others when they suffer a loss.
"Though gone from arms and home, forever with you in heart and soul".

I first met Nathan at Boston Children's Hospital Dialysis unit. Despite how ill he was, he was always kind and sweet. He was an example true strength. His presence always lit up a room. The world is definitely a bit darker without his presence. May his memory be a blessing.

Deepest condolences to the Natale family. Nate was one of the biggest supporters of Quidditch Club at Siena. He always attended with such enthusiasm.

If someone were to ask me who had the kindest soul out of everyone I met in my lifetime, my mind immediately thinks of Nathan. Growing up I had the pleasure to have Nathan has a neighbor. He was a grade above me and while we weren’t the closest of friends, I always respected and thought very highly of him. Even during our Southgate years, he not only was intellectually intelligent, but his emotional intelligence was wise beyond his years. I remember one time coming home from Southgate, an incident happened on the bus where a kid spit on me and those near me just started laughing. I was humiliated, disgusted, and just wanted to cry. Nathan and I got off the same stop together and I guess he saw what happened because without hesitation, he said he would walk with me to my house and wait until my parents opened the door. He also helped explain what happened to my parents because I was in a flustered state. I never told him how much that meant to me. He touched so many lives and I am so blessed and grateful to have known Nathan. May God bless him and his family. And may God watch and protect over his family.

Although I never met Nathan in person, I will cherish the time we had together in video games we both played over the years. His dry sense of humor made me laugh so many times and will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends and all whose lives he touched.

Nick,Nancy, and Noelle my heart aches for your loss. Years may have passed since we have last been in touch, but my memories of your family's faith, love, strength and support during Nathan's medical issues remain with me to this day. Sometime around the years he was at Siena, Nick I ran into you and heard Nathan was doing well. I still periodically wear the Nathan bracelets made during his illness. Each time I pick one out, I remember the love and strength of your incredible family. I pray that love and strength will again help you through this most difficult time.

I am heartbroken to hear this. Nathan was the sweetest boy I ever had the honor to get to know. He was so smart, funny, brave, and kind. He impacted my life personally and professionally and we still kept in touch over the years. I so loved watching him grow up and become a great young man. Nathan was truly one of God’s angels. Nick, Nancy, and Noelle, my prayers are with you and all that loved him so.

Nancy, Nick and Noelle, I offer my most sincerest sympathies hearing of Nathan’s passing. I was just recently wondering how he was doing. He was so special and his disposition was always inspiring! I have always felt fortunate to have cared for Nathan through some of his journey on dialysis but even more so how attached to him and his family I had become. Thinking of Nate always made me smile. I could write much more but I will just say that heaven has a new angel and no doubt at all that he is well received. May God watch over your family through your grief. RIP sweet Nate. I am so sad to hear this news. Nathan was truly amazing. We met our first year of Siena thanks to chemistry class. While he did his dialysis we would work on homework and visit. I learned so much medical stuff from him. But more than that I learned what perseverance was. Nathan was a positive person despite all he had, delt with in his life.
Then when he was able to get the surgery and transplants I was so so happy for him because he got in many ways freedom he had not had in years back.
Since school we have kept in touch and he faced so many highs and lows. To his family all I can say is you had the blessing of an amazing son and sibling. There are very few people ever who face what Nathan did, and fewer still who could have done what he did.
I'll most miss his Italian jokes, quick with, and the way he could just make me laugh after he had to nicely tell me ,in his way, that I was being an idot.
I am forever blessed to have called him a friend.

I met Nathan while playing a video game several years ago and since then, even if we were now playing different games we kept in touch several times a week. His obituary describes him very well. I will remember Nathan as an easy going person with whom it was always a pleasure to exchange about any topic. He was so kind and generous to others even. Watching football on mondays, sundays and thursdays will never be the same now. I will miss him dearly.
I would like to offer my condolences this his family and friends and in his honor I will make a donnation to Make-A-Wish Canada.

Hey Natale family words cannot express my sympathy for the loss of a great soul. Everything written in his obituary was more than accurate. He was one of the kindest young men I’ve had the pleasure to know. He’s no longer in pain as I know he’s in heaven. God bless you all.

Nathan loved to play games. We would sit for hours playing risk, dice, and rummy 500 so enthusiastically until we were sushed by those around us. I truly loved our times together, and will keep him in my heart always.

Sports fan I'll say! Nathan had the opportunity to join me in Dever Colorado on the last day of a conference I was attending. I picked him up from the airport and got back to the hotel. We had to rush out to dinner and be back to the room so he could watch the NFL draft picks. I joked about coming all the way to Denver and sitting in front of the TV to watch the draft. However, it was interesting because he gave me his blow by blow take on why each player may or may not be right for the team that they were picked for. When my conference ended, we spent several days running around the Rocky Mountains enjoying everything we could.
I'm so glad we had that time to spend together, and I'll miss him dearly!
