Obituary of Manuel G. Hebert, Sr.
AMSTERDAM –
Manuel G. Hebert, Sr., 60, of Amsterdam, entered into rest on November 11, 2022, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family.
The son of Gasper and the late Diane Hebert, Manuel was born on April 11, 1962, in Schenectady.
He was raised and resided in Amsterdam his entire life.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Hebert served in the Armed Forces from 1979 until 1982 receiving an honorable discharge for his service. His employment history includes: M2 Designs, Allerdice Glass & Mirror and Abere Fence.
Manuel’s hobbies and interests included: hunting and fishing. He was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. Manuel enjoyed going to watch dirt track racing, camping, and county fairs.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Cylin Hebert (Sherrice Fonseca), Celeste Burke (Michael Burke) and Manuel Hebert Jr. He was the grandfather of Reilly Burke.
He was the brother of: April Hebert, Jason Hebert (Kimberly), Suzette Kachmaryk, Jennifer Manning (Scott), Lance Hebert (Michelle), and several nieces and nephews.
Manuel was predeceased by his mother, Diane Hebert.
Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The Hebert Family has chosen to honor Manuel’s memory in a private way.
