Obituary of William C. Lathers, Jr.

COHOES – William C. Lathers, Jr., 65, of Cohoes, entered into rest on January 12, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. The son of the late William C. Lathers, Sr., and Sadie “Sally” Marie (Freemantle) Lathers, William was born on April 14, 1957, in Troy, New York. William was a graduate of Troy High School and was a lifelong area resident. He was employed by Albany Airport as a fueler. His hobbies and interests included working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary E. (Bishop) Lathers of Cohoes, and three of his sisters: Mary, Beverly, and Sally. William also leaves behind his beloved canine companions Abbey and Max. In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by four of his sisters: Diane, Barbara, Tammy, and Patricia. The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Samaritan Hospital and the Infusion Department at Memorial Hospital. They all made this journey a little more bearable for William and his family. In keeping with William’s wishes there will be no viewing and cremation will take place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc.
