Dear Ray, I was sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. My daughters, Sarah and Mollie, and I always welcomed going to your home. Richard would make us laugh, while making us look and feel better. He was a wonderful stylist, but also a kind and honest friend. He also had us bring our dog, Dante, who was in love with Keisha. I will always treasure those memories. Dear Richard, It was always a treat and an adventure to be a regular at Cast & Co. to enjoy your stories, wit, news of the neighborhood, and meeting good friends. You made each of us feel special and stylish. (And commented when you did not care for someone of our wardrobe choices.) Certainly, I will continue to think of you often, especially when I look out my kitchen windows at the beautiful, now mature hemlock trees that you gifted to me so many years ago. I remember the day they were delivered in huge pots on a flatbed truck from your Upper Union St property to my side yard. They have provided welcomed shade and privacy for me and my dear neighbors. It was also a pleasure to visit your beautiful and well-designed home, both the inside decor and the landscaping displayed your creative touch. You are missed, dear friend. Ray, Saying goodbye to someone we love is heartbreaking. May you find comfort in all the special, crazy memories you shared with him. Richard was my hair stylist and friend for more than 40 years. He was also a wonderful friend to my son Adam and grandson Gavin. We loved Richard and will never forget his humor and kindness. Our thoughts are with Ray and Dusty. We hope their memories of Richard bring them peace.

My heart is broken at the loss of this wonderful and one-of-a-kind man. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of our friend Richard. Ray, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve known Richard for sixty years and grew to care deeply for him. Going back to when my mom would bring me to his shop to get her hair cut. She loved him, and he loved her. I’ll miss all of our talks and him insulting my singing. He was a good man and he’ll be missed.

Sincere condolences to Ray, Dusty and family. Richard was a wonderful man. We started out as just a client and wonderful hairdresser. Our journey resulted in being truly great friends. Sincere condolences to Ray, Dusty and the rest of Richard’s family. I have known Richard since I was about 10, when my mother took us to him for a haircut at House of Clarence. He cut my hair most of my life, and became a dear friend. He will be missed very much! I will always cherish my memories of him. Rest easy my friend.
